Question of the Week: How do you show a servant's heart at school?
There are many ways that you could be a servant at school. What are some specific ways that you have been a servant at school or seen someone else be a servant? What are some things you could do specifically to be more of a servant?
I remember going to the bathroom in elementary and middle school and finding it littered with paper towels all over the floor on a regular basis! Students would dry their hands off and then not throw away their paper towels in the trash. The general attitude was that it was the janitor's job to clean the bathroom. I thought it was not a good thing to do, and I felt bad for Mr. Howe who had to clean it up every time, but I don't remember picking up any of the paper towels. I could have been a servant by picking up those paper towels, but I didn't. I could have said something to those students that were dropping them on the floor, but I didn't. What are some opportunities that you have missed to be a servant?
How can you better serve your teachers and classmates?
You might want to consider what we've talked about already when it comes to serving each other on Wednesday Nights.
How did the disciples serve their teacher?
Also, consider this passage and how it might relate to being a servant at school.
