Question of the Week: Do you realize how YOU have been served? How? In what ways? By Whom?
I'm interested to hear how you all have been served and blessed by others. I think it's important to reflect on these things often so that we can cultivate a heart of gratitude, just like we were talking about this past Wednesday Night. Once we become grateful, our pride deteriorates, and we become better able to serve others well and as we ought.
Yes, i do realize i've been served, by my friends. They have "served" me by choosing to be my friend. They are always there to talk to when you need someone to talk to. To me that's serving because they could choose to ignore me when i talk to them, but they don't. But overall, i say i've been served by God. He gave me (well Adam and Eve) the choice to sin or not. He didn't want them to sin, but he thought of us (put us first which is serving) and let us choose. And he puts me/us first everyday by letting us choose what i/we want to do, instead of everything he wants. ~Rebecca
